Spring Beauty Trends – Soft Eyeliner

Here’s a straight from the runways trend you can wear right now.  Soft eyeliner!  Especially if you’re wearing bold lips and cheek colors like bubble gum pink and bright peach, a softer eyeliner look is right on point.  The biggest trend in soft eyeliner: black eyeliner on the top, brown on the bottom lids.  It gives your eyes a softer effect than rimming them in all black or all brown.  “With the bottom lash line lighter than the top, it creates the illusion of brighter eyes,” says makeup artist Pat McGrath who used this technique on the runways of Dolce & Gabbana.  Her inspiration?  A modern day Sophia Loren, she tells Allure Magazine.  If you want to channel this look without lining your eyes, try it with mascara instead or use an Angled Eye Liner Brush dipped in water and then eye shadow to achieve a similar effect without using actual liner.  Layer all this on top of a classic neutral eye for a beautiful, soft look.
